We are excited to share our proposal for an eco-friendly leisure facility aiming to regenerate a brownfield site in Oulton, Leeds.

The proposed venue includes lodges, a wedding and conference facility, and a community café - all located within beautiful landscaped surroundings alongside the River Aire.

The venue will include 40 Eco-lodges, which will act as accommodation for up to 120 guests, all served by the main Wedding Venue.

Sustainability & Biodiversity

Sustainability is at the core of this project - using locally sourced materials, green roofs, solar panels and air source heat pumps the project aims to achieve BREEAM Excellent rating. Furthermore, a large emphasis has been placed on improving the Bio-Diversity within the site, which has been achieved through the introduction of a huge a amount of planting and improvements to the riverside, which will hopefully create suitable environments for a number of important species.

Replacing a Brownfield Site

The proposal sees the replacement of an unwanted brownfield site, which acts as an eyesore for the local residents. This development will result in a vast improvement to the setting of the site, particularly due to its close proximity to the River Aire. One resident stated “turning brownfield site eyesore to a pleasant useful venture will enhance the area.”
