Furthermore, a large emphasis has been placed on improving the Bio-Diversity within the site, which has been achieved through the introduction of a huge a amount of planting and improvements to the riverside, which will hopefully create suitable environments for a number of important species.

Replacing a Brownfield Site

The proposal sees the replacement of an unwanted brownfield site, which acts as an eyesore for the local residents. This development will result in a vast improvement to the setting of the site, particularly due to its close proximity to the River Aire. One resident stated “turning brownfield site eyesore to a pleasant useful venture will enhance the area.”
