Project Spotlight: Knowsthorpe Crescent, Leeds

As part of our ongoing effort to revisit and document previously unshared work, we’re looking back at Knowsthorpe Crescent, a residential development completed in 2019 in Leeds.

The scheme comprises 86 apartments and was delivered on a particularly tight and complex site. Nearly six years on, the development has aged well, both in appearance and how it sits within the local context.

A key focus of the design was the building’s relationship with Cross Green Lane. Despite the overall scale, the use of stepping, dormer windows, and carefully considered rooflines helped ensure the scheme responded sensitively to its surroundings, especially the nearby housing.

Knowsthorpe Crescent continues to serve as a strong example of how thoughtful, context-led design can make a lasting impact.
